  2. Wireless Network Connection Status

    Click Properities in General


    ¡@
  3. Wireless Network Connection Properties

    General --> choose "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" --> check Properties

  4. Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) Properties

    Choose DHCP service that provided by school, i.e.¡uObtain an IP address automatically¡v
    and key in 140.112.254.4 in Preferred DNS server¡C

  5. Wireless Network Connection Properties

    Wireless Networks --> the part of Available networks

    (1)¡@Click Refresh

    (2)¡@Find¡untu¡v

    (3)¡@Click Configure

    (4)¡@Jump to the window of Configure

    (5)¡@Click OK


  6. Wireless network properties

    (1)¡@Key in ntu in Network name (SSID)

    (2)¡@Cancel the click in "the key is provided for me automatically"

    (3)¡@Enter ntuwe in the Network key column

    (4)¡@Enter it again in the Confirm network key column

         (5)¡@Click OK
    (6)¡@Go back the window of "Wireless network properties"


  7. Authentication

    Don't click the blank of " Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network"

  8. (1)Open¡uInterbet Explorer¡v-->Automatically connect to ¡§NTU Campus Wireless Network Service¡¨ webpage
    (2)Enter account and password of your email that provided by NTU Computer Center

  9. In "Security Alert " window¡Aclick YES

    ¡@
  10. Login to NTU Wireless Network successfully!

A Pocket PC example¡R

  1. Please click ¡uUse server-assigned IP address¡v

  2. Click¡uStart¡v-->then click¡uSettings¡v

    Then select ¡uSystem¡vpage

    Then click¡uWireless LAN Setting¡vicon


  3. In¡uStatus¡vpage ,you can see the status of the PDA connected the wireless network.
    Then check the ¡uSync to AP¡vfiels, the filed must be the ¡untu¡v.

    If you cannot see the ¡untu¡v, please return to the procedure 4.


  4. The ¡uConfiguration¡vpage

    In ¡uESSID¡v option¡Achoose¡uSpecify ESSID¡v¡Aand fill the field with ¡untu¡v¡Athen click¡uApply¡vbutton,
    then go back to the procedure 3, check if the signal be shown successfully.



  5. The ¡uSecurity¡vpage

    In ¡uEncryption(WEP)¡voption, please click¡uEnable¡v; in¡uWEP Key Type¡voption, please select¡uChar¡v,
    then in the ¡uKey setting¡v,select¡uKey 1¡v, and fill the field with¡untuwe¡v.


  6. The ¡uLink¡vpage
    Please enter the IP Addr:169.1.0.253;
    ¡uMy IP¡v this field is automatically got , it has not to be input;then click the ¡uStart¡vbutton to go into Internet.
